Registration Consent

Please read the Registration Consent information below and check the box to agree to Terms and Conditions, Registration Consent, and Cancelation Policy to register for the Sports Dry Needling seminar. I give permission to Sports Dry Needling and its representatives to take photographs of me while onsite at their seminars and hereby grant permission to Sports Dry Needling to use the photographs for marketing materials.  I acknowledge that Sports Dry Needling seminars involve the application of dry needling, along with other assessment, diagnostic, and treatment approaches, while working with other licensed healthcare providers. I understand that I will be practicing what I learn during the seminar with other licensed healthcare providers. To earn certification for this seminar, I need to both apply instructed techniques during the seminar along with being a patient for others in the class to practice on. Should I feel uncomfortable with any situation, I will make the instructors aware, and they will try to make appropriate accommodations, if possible. Sports Dry Needling treatment involves the use of dry needles, along with assessments, to properly determine where to place the dry needles. I will have to demonstrate proficiency at assessments and proper insertion (and subsequent disposal) of dry needles. Sports Dry Needling treatments can create some discomfort but should not go beyond a pain threshold. If this occurs during the seminar, I will let the instructors know immediately. Although Sports Dry Needling is highly effective in relieving pain and restoring function, many times, more than one treatment is necessary. Each person, and their condition, are unique. I understand that a referral to another healthcare provider may be needed, even if Sports Dry Needling is applied properly. The Sports Dry Needling instructor is a licensed healthcare professional with a high level of expertise in assessment, diagnoses, application of dry needling and rehabilitation of injuries. I understand the nature of Sports Dry Needling, what it entails, and wish to take part in the seminar that will have me act both as the person administering, and receiving, the care learned during the Sports Dry Needling seminar. I understand that I will receive 3 CEUs or 12 CEUs, depending on which seminar, (as approved through the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners of Maryland) following successful completion of the seminar. I must show proficiency during the class to earn the designated CEUs. As healthcare providers, we all follow the Hippocratic Oath of “Above all, do no harm.” This applies to the material taught, along with attendee’s ability to be proficient with what was learned, during the seminar. ** The above content contains the “Registration Consent” information for Sports Dry Needling Seminars. A copy of the Terms and Conditions along with the Registration Consent can be provided to you via email if you request.

3 Hour Dry Needling Recertification

Maryland requires a 3 hour re-certification program every 2 years and this is one of the few approved classes. Not only does this class provide for the necessary re-certification, but You learn a lot of material to blend in with your dry needling. The focus on sports treatment is important as dry needling is used so often to help our athletic population. Not only for our Maryland licensed chiropractors, but also for any licensed/certified dry needling healthcare providers, come and touch up your skills, gain more confidence, and learn some amazing sports dry needling. This class includes background on dry needling, needles used when, where, and depth. Location of vital tissues is discussed along with how to work around these areas. We review some pertinent dry needling research as knowing the scientific background around the technique is important. A discussion of modalities to use in conjunction with dry needling is discussed and most of the class time is dedicated to discussion and practicing areas of dry needling that may be considered by some to be difficult to manage/apply. This is fun and high-energy class with like-minded practitioners. It might only be 3 hours long, but it’s packed with information that you use immediately after in your practice!

Cancelation Policy

Please read the Cancelation Policy information below and check the box to agree to Terms and Conditions, Registration Consent, and Cancelation Policy to register for the Sports Dry Needling seminar. Things happen…we know…however, we need to have a cancelation policy because the Sports Dry Needling Classes are small and have a limited number of spots available. Most healthcare providers plan far in advance for classes and it can be hard for us to fill a spot if an attendee cancels in too short notice. The following are the terms of cancelation: 1. If You cancel more than 14 days before the first date of a class that you registered for, You will receive a full refund. 2. If You cancel between 7 and 14 days before the first date of a class that you registered for, You will receive a 50% refund. 3. If You cancel under 7 days before the first date of a class that You registered for, there is no refund. 4. In the event that You are unable to attend a class due to illness, “emergency”, or other reason, please contact us as soon as possible. We will deal with each situation on a case-by-case basis. The 4 points above constitute the Cancelation Policy. A copy of cancelation policy will be emailed to You following your registration in a class.
